I'm Dizzy Generally

Hello, I'm CK (Sze Kei), I'm an aspiring animator based in Scotland, artist, incredibly geekish over all things Whedonesque, Doctor Who, Sherlock, superheroes and sci-fi, loves dance and music and is generally one big happy bunny!

Still trying to figure out this blog so for now I hope you enjoy what I'm sharing!

GREAT week for music, I’m obsessed with most of my choices this week.  No major mainstream pop songs - nothing too unusual but all incredibly fun (except the Prometheus)

This weeks choices:

Hang Loose by Alabama Shakes

Another perfect summer song that isn’t bassy dance song.  I’m absolutely loving the American Jazz-Rock feel to the song.  I love soulful blues-rock bands!

You know you like it by AlunaGeorge

I wasn’t very keen on this song at first but it has really grown on me!  Feels like an updated 90s RnB dance song - there’s something nostalgic about it but it’s clearly fresh and new.

Ideal Type by Busker Busker

One of my favourite new bands from Korea and this video is awesome!  I will sure as hell be learning this brilliant and stupid dance!

Hard to be humble by Leessang

Ridiculous and adorable video! Try and watch the hole thing to catch the wee boys slapping the bold man and the bums!

Harry Gregson-Williams,
Prometheus (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Prometheus OST by Marc Streitenfeld - Life

I came out of this film understanding why a
lot of Alien fans where a little disappointed
but here's the thing I watched the film last
Monday and I'm thinking about it, - the
amazing things AND the frustrating plot holes
and I love that!
A memorable movie that I just can't shake
out my head! Enjoy the horns!

Last month, I was really hating a lot of current and mainstream music, but it seems summer is finally here and the music is shaping up to be a good one!

This weeks choices:

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

It’s the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, so the song is sort of fitting…

110% by Jessie Ware

I preferred her first single Running but her voice is simply divine.  Definitely a new gorgeous singer who I will keep a close eye on!

Ed Sheeran’s Small Bump is possibly the most adorable song I have ever heard.  If this song does not make you all bubbly, then you have no soul, nuff said.
